Dr. Ramsey started her career as a principal and assistant principal in the Socorro School District in El Paso, Texas. She moved to California working for the Santa Clara County Office of Education, serving as Superintendent for Pleasant Valley Schools. In 2021, she returned to Texas to lead the struggling Midland School District as Superintendent. During a recent state review, Ramsey was celebrated for meeting all academic goals, with the state rating the Midland District a B, up from a C in 2019.
This year's Awards Banquet is at the Nick and Lou Martin University Center on the Texas Wesleyan University campus.
